Eric P. Knowles

Eric P. Knowles Esq. is a partner in Frier Levitt’s Life Sciences Litigation Department. Eric represents a variety of healthcare professionals in all aspects of complex business disputes in litigation and arbitration, including specialty, retail and compounding pharmacies, wholesalers/distributors, health plans, 340(b) covered entities and contract pharmacies, and other healthcare providers. Eric frequently represents pharmacies in audit and network access disputes with Pharmacy Benefit Managers (PBMs). Eric also regularly represents pharmacy and pharmacist clients in Board of Pharmacy (“BOP”) matters involving BOP licensing, inspections, investigations and enforcement actions.

Prior to joining Frier Levitt in April 2021, Eric worked as an attorney for a prominent Law Firm. Eric also served as an Assistant Prosecutor in the Trial Division for the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office. As an Assistant Prosecutor, he gained litigation experience prosecuting a wide array of criminal offenses and provided legal counsel to police officers in Hudson County for the investigation and prosecution of numerous crimes. Eric began his prosecutorial career in the Appellate Unit, where he briefed and argued criminal appeals before the Superior Court of New Jersey, Appellate Division.

Before serving as an Assistant Prosecutor, Eric worked as in-house counsel for a wine distributor and served as a law clerk for the Honorable Ernest M. Caposela, A.J.S.C., Superior Court of New Jersey, Passaic Vicinage where he gained experience in civil, criminal, and family law.

Eric obtained his Juris Doctor degree from Roger Williams University School of Law. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Government from Manhattan College, where he was a member of the Honors Enrichment Program.
