Veteran FDA regulatory attorney joins the firm from BakerHostetler, bringing deep in-house and private practice experience advising FDA-regulated companies.
NEW YORK, NY, September 15, 2026 – Frier Levitt, a national boutique healthcare law firm, announced today that Winston S. Kirton has joined the firm as a Partner and will lead the firm’s FDA Practice. The addition further expands Frier Levitt’s capabilities in the life sciences sector and strengthens the firm’s ability to counsel companies throughout the FDA-regulated product lifecycle.
Kirton advises domestic and international companies across the life sciences and FDA-regulated industries, including biopharmaceutical, medical device, food, dietary supplement and cosmetics companies. His practice spans corporate transactions and FDA regulatory due diligence, research and development, manufacturing and supply chain matters, regulatory compliance, enforcement and complex commercial relationships. Kirton also serves on the Board of Directors of the Food and Drug Law Institute (FDLI), where he began a four-year term in 2026.
Kirton joins Frier Levitt from BakerHostetler, where he co-led the firm’s FDA Practice and Life Sciences Industry Team. Before entering private practice, he held senior in-house roles at several large multinational biopharmaceutical companies, including service as assistant general counsel and as the London-based head of compliance and ethics for a U.S. pharmaceutical company, where he had responsibility for business units across multiple international markets.
“Frier Levitt’s focus on healthcare, life sciences and pharmacy is what drew me to the firm,” said Winston Kirton. “This is a firm built around these industries, not a healthcare group inside a much larger, more generalist platform. That focus gives us a nimbleness, flexibility and responsiveness to move quickly for clients, and the caliber of attorneys here means I’m working alongside a team that matches the sophistication of the industries we serve.”
“Winston’s arrival represents another important step in the continued growth of our Life Sciences capabilities,” said Daniel Frier, Co-Founding Partner of Frier Levitt. “He joins an already deep bench of FDA and life sciences attorneys, and his experience adds further strength to the standing and recognition we’ve built in this space.”
“Winston brings the perspective of someone who has sat on both sides of the table – as outside counsel and as a senior in-house lawyer,” said Jonathan Levitt, Co-Founding Partner. “That experience gives him a practical understanding of the regulatory and business challenges our clients face, and we’re excited to have him on our team.”
