Harini Bupathi, Esq. is a partner practicing in Frier Levitt’s Life Sciences practice group. Harini’s practice focuses on counseling several different types of pharmacy providers on their relationships with Pharmacy Benefit Managers (PBMs) and other similar payors. She advises clients in a wide range of PBM-related matters including network access, audits, termination, wrongful recoupment actions, and fraud, waste, and abuse investigations. Harini utilizes her knowledge and experience to counsel on strategies and best practices to avoid any adverse action from payors and PBMs.
Harini earned her Juris Doctorate, J.D. from Villanova University Charles Widger School of Law, where she gained extensive health law knowledge from her experience in the University’s Health Law Clinic. During her time at Villanova, Harini was the Managing Editor of Student Work for the Jeffrey S. Moorad Sports Law Journal and a fellow in the University’s public interest fellowship program.
Prior to joining Frier Levitt, Harini clerked for the Honorable Henry S. Perkin in the United States Eastern District of Pennsylvania. Harini also interned with Bayer HealthCare, where she worked on a wide array of issues as they related to pharmaceutical manufacturers. She also committed herself to public interest work during her time at the Medical-Legal Community Partnership in Philadelphia, offering legal services to low-income medical patients at local health centers.
