Alex Keoskey is a partner in Frier Levitt’s Life Sciences and Healthcare practice groups, where he focuses his practice on healthcare litigation and complex regulatory compliance issues, including complex litigation involving Pharmacy Benefit Managers (PBMs), Shareholder Disputes, Employment Actions, Breach of Contract Issues, Licensing Board hearings and Hospital-based adverse actions.
With an unwavering commitment to safeguarding the interests of medical professionals and health care entities, his diverse clientele includes physicians, pharmacies, dentists, nurses, hospitals, healthcare facilities, and nursing home owners, operators and administrators. These clients often face adverse legal, administrative, and regulatory compliance investigations and actions from state and federal government agencies, benefit managers, and third-party payers.
Alex also represents physicians and other medical staff members at hospital peer review and committee hearings addressing a spectrum of issues including wrongful termination, compensation, privileges, credentialing, summary suspensions, patient rights, impairment, misconduct and quality of care. Alex also counsels medical providers and practice owners on employment and labor-related issues.
Alex served for many years as litigation and compliance counsel for North Hudson Community Action Corp., the largest federally qualified health center (FQHC) in New Jersey. His prior experience includes six years as Deputy Attorney General for the State of New Jersey, initially defending state agencies against civil actions and later handling matters for various professional health care licensing boards within the Division of Consumer Affairs.
Beyond his legal engagements, Alex is deeply committed to fostering excellence in the medical profession. He serves as a faculty member at PBI Education, providing instruction regarding professional medical ethics, pharmacy compliance and risk management to healthcare providers throughout North America.
