Guilherme Ferrari Faviero, Esq., MS, MPH is a senior associate in Frier Levitt’s Life Sciences Group. His practice focuses on FDA regulatory law and compliance, as well as transactional work in the food and drug, biotechnology, cannabis, hemp, and psychedelics sectors. A scientifically trained attorney with experience in public policy and graduate degrees in biomedical sciences and public health, he offers a unique perspective to clients in highly regulated industries.
Guilherme is also the Director of the AHF Global Public Health Institute at the University of Miami, where he leads a policy research initiative for a global nonprofit dedicated to delivering cutting-edge medicine and advocacy to patients worldwide. Prior to becoming an attorney, he worked as a research scientist in immunology and cell biology, investigating autoimmune disorders and later developing molecular diagnostic tests for commercial application in the private sector.
His writings and collaborations have been featured in leading international publications, including The Lancet, The Lancet Public Health, Frontiers, and Devex. He is also co-author to the Legal Guide to the Business of Cannabis and Hemp (2025), published by Practicing Law Institute Press.
Originally from Brazil, Guilherme is fluent in Portuguese and maintains strong professional ties to Latin America. He graduated with honors from the University of Miami School of Law and is licensed to practice in California and the District of Columbia.
