Edgar explains that while pharmaceutical advertising budgets have expanded dramatically since the late 1990s, the FDA’s resources have not kept pace, creating gaps in compliance enforcement. To address this, the current administration is leveraging AI technologies to enhance monitoring, streamline review processes, and even automate the issuance of warning letters.

Edgar predicts that within five years, these advancements could usher in a new era of proactive regulatory oversight, driving companies to strengthen compliance and better protect consumers and patients.
