As AI tools become more integrated into medical practice, providers must balance efficiency and innovation with careful oversight, recognizing that technology cannot replace clinical judgment or legal responsibility.
Frier Levitt’s Lawrence Kobak was featured in Podiatry Management, emphasizing the importance of using AI as a tool, not a substitute, for professional decision-making. He underscores that physicians remain ultimately responsible for patient care, regardless of how information is generated. As he cautions:
“Physicians must continue to review their reports and medical records, even (or especially) when they were generated by AI.”
