Tina Segreto is an associate in Frier Levitt’s Healthcare Department, where she focuses on transactional and regulatory matters. She represents a diverse range of clients, including physicians, medical practices, long-term care facilities, home health and hospice agencies, and other healthcare providers. Tina’s practice encompasses advising on business formation, sales transactions, regulatory compliance, and navigating complex changes in healthcare regulations.
Tina began her legal career training with the largest nursing and rehabilitation group in New York, working alongside their General Counsel to address healthcare regulatory challenges and review critical contracts. She further developed her expertise as a Research Associate at the New York State Science and Technology Law Center, where she guided clients through USPTO and FDA regulations to bring cutting-edge medical technologies to market. Her professional foundation is also shaped by her internships with the New Jersey Office of the Attorney General’s Bureau of Securities and a prominent complex litigation law firm, where she deepened her understanding of regulatory enforcement and litigation strategies.
While attending Seton Hall University School of Law, Tina gained extensive industry experience working at Johnson & Johnson. There, she drafted and negotiated contracts related to physician partnerships, clinical research, university sponsorships, and consulting agreements. In 2024, Tina joined Frier Levitt as a Law Clerk in the Healthcare Department, further solidifying her focus on serving clients in the healthcare industry.
Before attending law school, Tina built a career in the post-acute care sector as a Medical Sales Representative and Consultant for a leading medical supply vendor. In this role, she advised nursing homes, hospice agencies, and homecare providers on compliance with CMS and state regulations, survey deficiency cures, QAPI plan preparation, staffing, revenue cycle management, and quality of care improvements. Tina’s contributions often involved staff training, accreditation readiness, and ensuring operational alignment with best practices, equipping healthcare facilities to meet certification standards. Her earlier professional experiences also include working as an Organic Chemistry Laboratory Technician at Cornell University.
Tina’s extensive and multifaceted background in healthcare, coupled with her legal and compliance expertise, allows her to approach client matters with a unique blend of industry insight and strategic foresight. She earned her J.D. from Seton Hall University School of Law, where she concentrated in Health Law and earned a Certificate in Healthcare Compliance. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from Coastal Carolina University.
