Charlie has more than 30 years of experience in a broad range of transactional matters with a focus on the healthcare and pharmacy industries. He represents a diverse group of healthcare and pharmacy clients, including management services organizations, health systems, medical groups, ambulatory surgical centers, independent pharmacies, and other provider entities in strategic, regulatory and transactional matters.
Charlie combines his legal experience with a keen understanding of clients’ businesses and objectives. He regularly advises healthcare and pharmacy clients on purchases and sales of practices, pharmacies and related businesses, including those involving private equity, large networks, and hospitals; mergers and acquisitions; joint ventures and affiliations; corporate governance; employment contracts; shareholder agreements and operating agreements; managed care contracting; medical billing and practice management agreements and the purchase, sale and leasing of real estate. Charlie also regularly advises clients on complex legal and regulatory compliance issues, such as ACA, Stark and corresponding state self-referral laws, Federal and State Anti-Kickback laws, and HIPAA.
