Attention Compounding Pharmacies: It appears for some plans that Express Scripts has reversed and re-billed certain compound claims allegedly due to an “incorrect contract rate” being applied at the time the claims were filled and dispensed. Pharmacies have then experienced tens of thousands of dollars in adjustments on remittances from Express Scripts. While this may be “chalked up” to issues with the Medco-Express Scripts integration, pharmacies’ rights may be impinged.
