Payal Amin, Pharm.D., RPh, Esq., is a pharmacist attorney in Frier Levitt’s Life Sciences Department. Payal’s practice focuses on matters related to pharmacy operations, pharmacy benefit Managers (PBM) regulations, and pharmacy regulatory issues. She counsels clients on an array of issues including insurance and PBM audits and termination, wrongful recoupment, wrongful network exclusion, and other governmental investigations.
Prior to joining Frier Levitt, Payal’s legal practice included mass tort litigation involving pharmaceutical drug and medical device product liability including Fosamax, Testosterone Replacement Therapy, Zantac and Hernia Mesh.
In addition to her legal background and prior to becoming an attorney, Payal earned her Doctor of Pharmacy from the Ernest Mario School of Pharmacy at Rutgers University. Payal is a licensed, practicing pharmacist who has over ten years of experience as a retail pharmacist. Payal is uniquely positioned to leverage her clinical experience in advancing the interests of her pharmacy clients. Furthermore, her insider perspective as a practicing pharmacist allows her to advocate for her pharmacy clients with a firsthand understanding of the challenges they are facing and allows for a common interest to be brought to the attorney-client relationship.
