PRESS RELEASE – January 10, 2022

Pine Brook, N.J. – Frier & Levitt, LLC is delighted to announce the promotion of Jason N. Silberberg to Partner in the firm’s Healthcare Litigation Group, effective January 1, 2022.  Jason, along with co-founding Partner, Jonathan Levitt, co-chairs the firm’s value-based care litigation group, which seeks to expand dispute resolution services for healthcare entities needing creative solutions to ongoing value-based care related conflicts with payors, vendors and others. “As healthcare continues its rapid transition from the traditional fee-for-service model to newer value-based care models, such legal services have become increasingly critical for the success of providers in all sectors. We look forward to Jason’s leadership in this space,” said Daniel Frier, co-founder of the firm.

Jason’s experience complements the depth and breadth of Frier Levitt’s services with his wide range of experience in healthcare and life sciences litigation and regulatory matters affecting clients across the industry.  “Jason has a unique skill set that includes knowledge of Medicare Advantage risk adjustment coding and regulation, healthcare risk sharing arrangements, and a broad depth of knowledge and experience that allows him to deliver strategic and creative business solutions in support of our clients’ sophisticated needs,” said Frier Levitt’s co-founding partner, Jonathan Levitt.

While Jason represents a diverse array of clients in healthcare matters, his practice focuses on helping clients in the value-based care space with strategic litigation and pre-litigation-based solutions to commercial disputes. Jason counsels accountable care organizations (ACOs), patient-centered medical homes, clinically integrated networks (CINs), healthcare data analytics vendors, and health systems in resolving conflicts with payers, including Medicare Advantage Organizations and Managed Medicaid plans. Jason also regularly represents clients in False Claims Act matters and provider-agency disputes under state and federal Administrative Procedure Acts.

Prior to joining Frier Levitt as an associate in 2014, Jason worked for several years as a Deputy Attorney General in the New Jersey Attorney General’s Office, Banking & Insurance Section, where he civilly prosecuted healthcare providers, insurance producers, and insurance carriers for violations of the state Fraud and Producer Acts.  He also authored several amicus curiae briefs on novel questions of law concerning the interpretation of healthcare and insurance related statutes.

Jason received his J.D. from the George Washington University Law School and his B.A. from New York University.
