Margaret O’Connor is an associate in Frier Levitt’s Life Sciences litigation department. Her practice focuses on various types of healthcare professionals, particularly pharmacies, advising on contract and reimbursement disputes with Pharmacy Benefit Managers (PBMs).
Prior to joining Frier Levitt, she held legal internships with Bristol Myers Squibb, PhRMA, and the Office of Counsel to the Inspector General, HHS, to name a few. In these roles, she conducted intensive research on AI, drafted comprehensive research memorandum on the False Claims Act, the Anti-Kickback Statute, and federal register dockets for the FDA, USPTO, and CMS, as well as wrote briefs to administrative law judges.
Margaret further honed her legal skills as a law clerk for the U.S. Attorney’s Office, DOJ Criminal Division, where she drafted sentencing memoranda, responses to motions, and appellate briefs submitted to the Northern District of Ohio and the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals. Most recently, Margaret served as an Assistant District Attorney in the Bronx District Attorney’s Office, focusing on child abuse and sex crimes.
Margaret earned her J.D. from Case Western Reserve University, concentrating in health law, and also holds a M.A. in Bioethics and Medical Humanities.
