Emma Bekhet is an associate in Frier Levitt’s Healthcare Group, where she represents clients in complex disputes involving healthcare providers, insurers, and other industry stakeholders.
Prior to joining Frier Levitt, Emma served as in-house trial counsel for a nationwide insurance company handling various litigation matters, including bodily injury and premises liability.
While earning her J.D. at the University of California, Irvine School of Law, Emma gained hands-on experience through several clinical programs, advising startups on corporate legal matters and assisting with intellectual property issues in the arts and technology space.
Emma previously served as a Judicial Extern to the Honorable Cathy L. Waldor, working alongside law clerks to draft reports and recommendations and memoranda on pending civil cases regarding procedural and substantive matters.
In addition to her J.D., Emma holds dual B.A. degrees in Biology and Law, Technology, and Culture from the New Jersey Institute of Technology, graduating magna cum laude. Emma is fluent in Egyptian Arabic and actively involved in community service and legal aid initiatives.
