The article discusses new tactics employed by Pharmacy Benefit Managers (PBMs) to target independent pharmacies. Steven shares his legal insights and comments on the unfair practices of PBMs. He states, “There’s a lot of instances where there might have been a clerical error or something that a PBM is trying to miscategorize as fraud, waste, or abuse. … Sometimes it’s not even a violation of their [the pharmacy’s] contract; [the PBMs] are just trying to paint it as that.”
