Are PBMs Holding the “Unclaimed Funds” of Your Pharmacy?

Article

More often than you may realize, reimbursement checks are lost, destroyed or otherwise not deposited by your pharmacy. Claims reconciliation is complex and your pharmacy may be unaware of “unclaimed funds”. PBMs could be holding “unclaimed funds” belonging to your pharmacy. As your attorneys, we can discover whether any Pharmacy Benefits Managers (PBM) is holding your pharmacy’s reimbursement and have the un-deposited checks re-sent to you.

You should find out whether your pharmacy has received payment for all of the claims submitted to PBMs. Frier Levitt has assisted pharmacies in recovering hundreds of thousands of dollars in unclaimed funds owed by insurers. The process can be simple and cost-effective for you and we urge you to permit us to make inquiry of all PBMs on your behalf. We will often pursue unclaimed funds on a “contingency fee” basis, with a reasonable flat fee to write initial letters to each PBM.

Most PBMs holding “unclaimed” funds do not inform pharmacies. PBMs make little sincere effort to investigate why the reimbursement check was not deposited and is unclaimed.

Contact Us and we shall prepare letters to all the PBMs with whom your pharmacy deals seeking information about any unclaimed funds. We can help you recover your hard earned dollars.
