Daniel Frier Named 2026 New Jersey American Heart Association Heart Ball Chair

PINE BROOK, N.J., December 4, 2025 — For more than 100 years, the American Heart Association has committed to advancing health and hope for everyone, everywhere. Through Heart of New Jersey’s Heart Ball campaign, Daniel B. Frier, volunteer chairperson and co-managing and co-founding partner with Frier Levitt, will lead community-wide efforts to help ensure every individual in New Jersey has the opportunity for a full, healthy life. The Heart Ball celebrates hope and progress made through the dedication and passion of all who support the American Heart Association’s efforts to make an impact on the health of the community. These efforts include the relentless pursuit of scientific discovery, public policy change, equitable health for the under-resourced and underrepresented, and education to equip the community to take control of their health.

“Daniel demonstrates outstanding leadership and dedication at Frier Levitt. His passion and commitment to the American Heart Association’s mission, deep understanding of community needs, and unwavering drive to make a difference position him as the perfect choice to chair this event,” said Daniel Stermer, executive director of the American Heart Association in New Jersey. “We welcome Daniel Frier to the Heart of New Jersey, an initiative that centers around better health for every individual by focusing on critical issues and work to equitably improve and save lives.”

Frier is a nationally recognized healthcare attorney with more than 30 years of experience advising a wide range of clients. His work has earned recognition as a Top Health Care Attorney by the New York Times and received the Leading Lawyer Award from the Ambulatory M&A Advisor for four consecutive years. In 2023, Frier was honored as one of the “Leaders in Law” by NJBIZ and has been ranked by Chambers and Partners USA from 2019 to 2025.

“I am honored to serve as the 2026 New Jersey Heart Ball Chair,” said Frier. “When my friend and business partner died from a sudden cardiac event, it impacted me deeply. Working with the American Heart Association allows me to honor his memory while advancing education, research and awareness that can help save lives in our community and prevent others from experiencing the devastating loss of a loved one.”

The 2026 New Jersey Heart Ball, slated for May, is a night to celebrate the Association’s year-round efforts to break down barriers to health in New Jersey. Throughout the evening, the American Heart Association, the world’s leading nonprofit organization focused on heart and brain health, will honor volunteers and patrons, feature stories of survivors and entertain guests with dinner, dancing and an exciting auction.

“The Heart Ball holds a special place for me because it’s more than just a fundraising event,” said Frier. “It’s an opportunity to share powerful stories, celebrate the progress that has been made, and shine a light on the ongoing fight against heart disease and stroke. The evening is filled with hope and serves as a powerful reminder of why this work is so vital.”
