Julia E. Cassidy, Esq., is an associate in Frier Levitt’s Healthcare Department and Dental Practice Group, with a focus on regulatory and transactional law. Julia advises clients, including physicians and medical practice groups, on corporate and transactional matters, including group practice formation, sales and acquisitions of healthcare entities and facilities, leasing and licensing arrangements, employment, management and professional service relationships, and regulatory compliance matters related to the Anti-Kickback Statute, Stark Law, and HIPAA. Additionally, Julia focuses on advising dentists and dental providers on the many legal issues facing dentists today.
Prior to joining Frier Levitt, Julia worked for the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). While at HHS, she focused on the establishment of the health insurance marketplaces and the implementation of the Affordable Care Act as well as privacy and security requirements for electronic health records. Julia wrote several regulations pertaining to the health insurance marketplaces, drafted and negotiated agreements between federal agencies, and advised state-based marketplaces on compliance with regulatory requirements.
Julia is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania and Case Western Reserve University School of Law.
