Frier Levitt Successfully Defends Two New Jersey Physicians in Board Matters

Frier Levitt was recently victorious in representing two physicians in separate matters before the Board of Medical Examiners. The physicians were facing disciplinary actions brought about by complaints filed by former patients of the practice.

In the first case, a physician was accused of failing to complete a physical, conducting a drug test inappropriately and altering medical records. After working closely with the client and preparing a detailed response explaining the misunderstandings and misstatements from the patient, Frier Levitt was able to have the matter dismissed and kept confidential.

In the second case, a physician was accused of fraudulent billing, a serious accusation that has potential civil and criminal implications. After reviewing the billing records and reviewing the allegations with the client, it was discovered that the patient simply misunderstood the patient responsibility portion of the bill. Once this was explained to the Board, the matter was dismissed and the matter will be kept confidential.
