Sexual Assault/Abuse Attorneys
Have you or a family member been inappropriately touched, fondled or abused? Has a doctor, counselor, therapist or teacher touched you inappropriately using their credentials and position of authority to gain trust?
If so you may have a claim for your physical or emotional injuries.

Too often, patients or students are reluctant to come forward and report abuse by their doctor or teacher since they were led to believe that the touching was part of a medical exam or other “legitimate” circumstance.
Recently, patients have come forward to report doctors, counselors, and therapists who have fondled and abused patients while undergoing an examination or procedure. The doctors often tell the patients that the touching (while inappropriate) is necessary and proper medical care. Patients necessarily place trust in their medical providers and are convinced that the touching is proper. When individuals learn that the touching was in fact inappropriate, the damages that flow from this touching include emotional injuries, guilt, lack or trust and other devastating injuries.
If you or a loved one has been inappropriate touched, you may have a claim for damages. The time for making a claim, however, may be limited if the responsible party is part of a municipal or public entity.
Our firm has been successful in obtaining significant jury verdicts and settlements for our clients. Our commitment to the client’s best interest has resulted in significant financial awards for our clients, for which Jonathan Levitt has been accepted into the prestigious Million Dollar Advocates Forum.
An example of our sexual abuse experience includes the significant (confidential) recovery for several individuals who were sexually abused by a sex offender who was working for a town-funded drug and alcohol center. The sex offender held himself out as a doctor and convinced our clients that he had to touch their private parts as part of a drug test. Convinced the sex offender was a doctor, the clients permitted the sex offender to touch them each time they submitted to a urine test. After more than two years of litigation, we obtained a significant result for the client’s emotional pain and suffering at the time of trial.
