Insulin Syringes Lawyers

Have you or a loved one been injured, or has a loved one died as a result of an overdose of insulin while using a Covidien syringe?

If so, you may have a claim for money damages. Contact Us. We can help.

Medical giant Covidien, Ltd., issued a recall on one lot of their disposable insulin syringes sold at Wal-Mart and Sam’s Club.  Covidien issued the recall after discovering that the syringes were mislabeled and could cause consumers to receive an overdose.

The ReliOn syringe could result in a consumer receiving as much as 2.5 times the intended dose.  The Food and Drug Administration issued a statement on this issue.  According to medical professionals, the overdose could lead to low blood sugar levels that could result in significant health problems and even death.

According to the FDA, during the packaging process, some syringes labeled for use with U-40 insulin were mixed with syringes labeled for use with U-100 insulin.  These syringes were sold at Wal-Mart stores and Sam's Clubs from August 1 until October 8, 2008.  If you believe you purchased this brand of syringe, you may visit the FDA website at http://www.fda.gov/bbs/topics/NEWS/2008/NEW01911.html

If you or a loved one has sustained injuries, or if a loved one has died from an overdose of insulin while using the syringe, you may be able to recover money damages.
