For the third time in one year, Jardine Enterprises issued a crib recall due to faulty and defective wood slats and spindles. The recall was announced in response to instances where the wooden slats and spindles broke, thereby leaving a gap in the crib where an infant can either fall or become entrapped in the open space. In addition to the three Jardine recalls, a recall was previously issued by Delta Enterprise and the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) regarding cribs manufactured between 1995 and 2007 that uses a drop side trigger lock designs.
